Marathon Ranked Beta - Everything We Know (Official Update)

Marathon Ranked is now in a confirmed beta state for Season 1, and Bungie's March 18 article gives the clearest official breakdown yet.
Ranked beta dates
The first beta window runs from March 21, 2026 at 10:00 AM PT through March 24, 2026 at 10:00 AM PT.
Core loop
You need:
- Runner Level 25
- Enough equipped gear value for the selected queue
- One Holotag in your backpack
That Holotag sets your score target, your loss penalty, and your overperformance capacity.
Queue types
- Low Stakes / Ranked: 3,000 gear ante, Bronze Holotag minimum
- High Stakes / Ranked+: 10,000 gear ante, Platinum Holotag minimum
The first beta weekend is Low Stakes only.
Rank ladder
Bungie currently confirms six ranks:
Bronze -> Silver -> Gold -> Platinum -> Diamond -> Pinnacle
Each rank has three tiers.
Rewards
Season rewards are based on your highest rank achieved, not just where you finish later. Each new rank also grants a loot package with gear and room keys.
